Where Your Donation Goes
CLIENT SERVICES
Services to low income people living with AIDS include emergency and preventative
vet care, food & supplies, food delivery for the homebound, transportation,
foster care, dog walking, litter box maintenance, grooming, information &
referral PAWS currently serves over 650 individuals and 800+ companion
animals on an ongoing basis We add up to 23 new humans and up to 40
new animals per month

EDUCATION
We provide informational start up packets to communities worldwide to help them
serve their own community and preserve the human/animal bond We provide
information about the benefits and risks associated with animal companionship
for the immunocompromised We provide information and referral to individuals
locally and nationwide regarding the issues related to pet ownership for the disabled
We hosted an educational summit in 2001 to help train nurses, social workers,
medical doctors, animal welfare providers, and vet students on the issues related
to companion animals in society

PAWS EXPANSION PROGRAM (PEP)
A new program of PAWS to extend
its current level of service to populations of disabled people other than
those living with HIV/AIDS. PEP will take on 5 new clients who are living
with a primary chronic or terminal illness other than HIV/AIDS every month starting

- - VETERINARY EXTERNSHIP
A training program for veterinary students from around the nation looking to get
more involved in animal related community groups serving low income communities |
